BESt Care is the preferred supplier for medical aids and supplies in the Caribbean Netherlands. Pharmacies also offer a number of medical supplies, but most products are only available at BESt Care. BESt Care has a wider range of medical aids and supplies. By opening stores on Sint Eustatius and Saba more items will be available and accessible. You will be assured of high-quality aids with warranty and service. Maintenance and repair of aids will also be available at the store.
BESt Care will provide all aids and supplies mentioned in the RAZ BES and the Regulations for Medical Aids and Supplies except for glucose test strips lancets, aero chamber, injection needles, syringes and cartridge-based injection pens. These aids can be obtained at the pharmacy.
The maximum quantity is based on the average patient’s need.
In some cases you can request more materials, but this must be approved by ZJCN. Your GP/medical specialist can make a request with a written explanation of the medical necessity to adjust the quantity based on your situation.
If you exceed the maximum quantity without approval from ZJCN, you are responsible for the additional costs. Therefore, it is important to always request approval from ZJCN before requesting additional aids or supplies.
