A tailored provision is a service or aid specifically designed to help Bonaire residents living independently at home who, due to illness or mental health conditions, cannot participate in general community provisions. Examples include day care, home help, meal delivery, or medical aids. Tailored provisions are provided individually and not shared with others.

Residents qualify for a tailored provision if they cannot independently manage daily activities due to illness or a mental health condition, and when their social network (family, friends, or neighbours) is unable to provide sufficient assistance. Eligibility requires being at least 18 years old and holding a valid residence permit for Bonaire. Assessment first considers the potential support available within the individual's social network.

No, tailored provisions are available to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria, regardless of age. However, you must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid residence permit for Bonaire.

Starting from 1 January 2025, you can apply for tailored provisions via the Accessible Desk (Lokét Aksesibel) at Sentro Akseso. Applications can be submitted by phone, online, or in person at Kaya Princes Marie 7, Kralendijk. Staff at Sentro Akseso will assist you in completing your application.

Tailored provisions available on Bonaire include services such as day care, home help, meal delivery, respite care, medical aids, and certain home modifications. Be aware that some provisions may have waiting times.

Sentro Akseso and Care and Youth Caribbean Netherlands (ZJCN) will assess your application based on legal criteria. The service provider will contact you within five working days to schedule an appointment. If there is a waiting period, the provider will inform you accordingly.
