Healthcare institutions on Bonaire, St. Eustatius, and Saba are going live with Electronic Client File

Five institutions that provide long-term care, i.e. Zorg en Welzijn Groep (ZW-Groep), Fundashon pa Kwido di Personanan Desabilita (FKPD), and Kalor di Hogar on Bonaire and St. Eustatius Health Care Foundation (SEHCF) and St. Eustatius Auxiliary Home Foundation are going to work with a digital system for the first time. By doing this, the organisations are taking an important step in the further improvement of their services. Up to now, hard copy files were used. Mental Health Caribbean (MHC) on Bonaire, St. Eustatius, and Saba is the sixth institution that is going live with an ECD. MHC has already been working with an electronic file and is receiving a new future-proof digital system that is better geared to Mental Health Care (in Dutch: GGZ, Geestelijke Gezondheidszorg).

With the digital file, information can be established and retrieved faster and more accurately. Care professionals can cooperate more easily and always dispose of current data. This benefits the quality, safety, and continuity of the support to clients.

The institutions that provide long-term care collectively opted for the same digital system to work with. We created a good foundation for the future and expanded our joint opportunities. Also for future new developments."

During the past months, work has been carried out on a diligent preparation.
