File an objection
Do you disagree with a contribution imposed, a decision regarding healthcare entitlement, or another decision made by ZJCN? You can then lodge a notice of objection within six weeks of despatch of the decision in question.
You can send your notice of objection by email to bezwaar@zorgverzekeringskantoor.nl or you can deliver it in person at the desk of the Health Insurance Office.
- The notice of objection must contain at least the following elements:
- Your name and address;
- The date and your signature;
- A description of the decision against which you are objecting;
- The reason you disagree with this decision;
- An indication of that which is claimed; and
- (If you authorised someone) a written authorisation.
Term
If a notice of objection is not submitted within six weeks, ZJCN declares the notice of objection inadmissible and the objection is not processed further. ZJCN handles your objection as soon as possible. There is a statutory period of four months for the processing of a notice of objection. This period can be extended once. Your notice of objection can be declared well-founded, partially well-founded or unfounded. Once a decision has been made on your objection, you receive a decision on the objection.
Appeal to the court
Do you disagree with the decision or the handling of your objection by ZJCN? You can then lodge an appeal with the Court of First Instance of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba and, if necessary, an appeal with the Joint Court of Justice of Curaçao, Aruba, St. Maarten and Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. Please also refer to the legal remedies clause included in your decision.
